Nudges at a glance
- A nudge appears when a user gets stuck: a save your app refuses, an error on the page, or a button that doesn’t work for them.
- It names the problem in your app’s own words, such as the error your page shows.
- One click opens the chat with the user’s question already written.
- Ignoring or closing a nudge does nothing. It never saves or sends anything for the user.
- Nudges are on for every workspace. You can turn them off on Controls.
What your users see
1
A short note beside the launcher
The note names what went wrong, for example
That didn't save: "This URL already exists". Want me to help you fix it? After a few seconds it folds away, and it comes back while the user’s pointer is over the launcher.2
Their question, already written
Clicking the note opens the chat with a question in the box, for example
I'm getting "This URL already exists" when I save. How do I fix it? The user can send it, change it or type their own.3
An answer, and an assist when it helps
The agent answers as it does any question, using the page the user is on. When it can fix the problem in your app, it offers an assist. See Assists.
Turn nudges on or off
Nudges reach the same people as the chat. To turn them off for everyone, use the Nudges switch on Controls. See Controls.See what nudges led to
Each nudge appears in Latest activity with what came of it. A chat or assist that started from a nudge carries a card saying why the nudge appeared. See Home.Next
