Your account is the page in the HelpAlive dashboard that holds who you are on HelpAlive, how you sign in, and how the dashboard looks for you. Open it from the card with your name at the foot of the sidebar. It has three panels: You, Sign-in and Preferences.

Your account at a glance

  • You shows your name, email, job role and team. You can edit your name and job role.
  • You change your password with a 6-digit code we email you. Once it is changed, you are signed out on every device.
  • Signed-in devices lists each place you are signed in, and you can sign out any of them.
  • Usage emails go to everyone on your team with a confirmed address. There is no setting to turn them off.

Signed-in devices

  • Sign out on a row signs out that device.

Theme

Choose Light, Dark or Same as system. It is kept in this browser only.

Usage emails

When your plan’s assists or chat messages reach 80%, run out, or are paused, we email everyone on your team with a confirmed address. The panel says which address yours go to. If your email isn’t confirmed, press Confirm your email to start getting them. There is no setting to turn them off. See Limits and usage.

Confirm your password

Confirm your password refers to the prompt some actions show, asking for your password again before they run. Enter it and press Confirm. You aren’t asked again for a few minutes. These actions include:
  • regenerating your project key on Settings → Setup & API Key;
  • changing how long a sign-in lasts on Settings → Team & access;
  • inviting teammates, resending an invite, and reactivating someone on your team;
  • changing Your allowed domains;
  • deactivating someone on your team;
  • changing how long chat and assist text is kept on Settings → Privacy Management;
  • signing out a device, or your other devices.

Check it works

After you change your password, sign in with the new one. Under Signed-in devices, only the device you just used is listed.

Troubleshooting

  • No code arrives. Check your spam folder. Resend counts down until you can ask for a new one.
  • Signing in asks for a code. This happens because your email isn’t confirmed yet. We email you a code to finish signing in.
  • Sign-in fails although you signed up. You may have stopped before entering the code. Sign up again with the same email to get a new code.
  • “Couldn’t confirm your password.” Check you typed your current password, then try again.
  • You don’t get usage emails. This is because your email isn’t confirmed. Press Confirm your email.
