The Team tab in Settings is where you manage who has access to your HelpAlive dashboard — your teammates, not your end users. Open your dashboard and go to Settings → Team.

Three sections, one screen

SectionWhat it’s for
Team MembersEveryone currently active on your dashboard.
InvitesInvitations you’ve sent that haven’t been used yet.
Inactive MembersMembers who’ve been deactivated and don’t have access right now.

Inviting a teammate

Click Invite to send a new invitation. You can invite one person at a time or several at once. Each invite needs:
  • An email address in a domain allowed by your organization (see Security & Access).
  • A role — Admin or Member.
HelpAlive emails the invitee a link to set their password and join. Invites appear in the Invites section with a status:
StatusWhat it means
PendingWaiting for the invitee to accept. You can resend or revoke.
UsedThey joined. They’re now in Team Members.
ExpiredThe link timed out. You can resend it as a fresh invite.

Roles

RoleWhat they can do
AdminEverything. Invite teammates, change Agent config, manage billing, trigger data deletions, change security and session policies.
MemberUse the dashboard. Read everything; can’t make administrative changes (invite users, regenerate API keys, edit domain allowlist, change session policy).
Only admins can promote a member to admin, or demote an admin (including themselves). You can’t accidentally lock the organization out — there must always be at least one admin.

Editing or deactivating a member

In Team Members, click the menu on any row to:
  • Edit their role — promote to admin or demote to member.
  • Edit their job role — the descriptive field (e.g. “Product Manager”). Admin-only.
  • Deactivate — revokes their access without deleting them. They move to Inactive Members.
Deactivation is reversible. Click Reactivate in the Inactive Members section to give a former teammate access back, subject to your plan’s seat limit.

Seat limits

Your plan caps the number of active members. If you’ve hit the limit, Reactivate and Invite are blocked until you deactivate someone else or upgrade. See Billing for the current count.
